Ralph tilty whirly oddball birdy

Post by Softscience »

I decided to build hasegawa's newish mv 22 osprey kit for this GB. It looks like a simple build, and has a simple paint scheme. Something I might actually be able to complete in a month.

I began the project by assembling the wing, which you can see, can be built with the flaps down; and I began assembling the motor pods. These have some seems to grind and fill.

I see these at least weekly as they fly up/down/around the coast between Cherry Point, Norfolk, and Elizabeth City.

I look forward to your build, Ralph !

As do I. I've been sidetracked by other projects that are closer to completion, and by busy days at work. I should be able to get back on this shortly

Even though im unlikely to finish this build in time, I'm not counting myself out of GB activities.

Here is where I am at right now. I have finally completed (to the best of my ability) rescribing the engine pods. I have also glued together much of the fuselage. The kit is designed in such a way, as to allow you to drop most if the cockpit in AFTER the fuselage is built. Very nice!

Hi Ralph,

Do you think you'll get any paint on this beast. It certainly looks rather meaty compared to those Corsair wings in the background.
