Re: Daz's Navy Type 0
if you've got any light grey in your stash, just add that to the green and the color will look closer to the prototype.
Re: Daz's Navy Type 0
I wish I'd thought of that - it's been painted now!
Oh well!

Zero progress....
I don't think it looks too bad in its slightly inaccurate paint scheme....

Just call it a post-war restoration job and challenge anyone to tell you otherwise

Re: Daz's Navy Type 0
Aye looks good. One of those cheapo "silver gel pens" might be of interest as late war IJN paint was of poor quality and didn't adhere too well. A bit of careful application on the wing leading edges and around the cowl will represent paint chipping / peeling quite nicely in 1/72 scale remember less is more.
Look forward to seeing some more progress

I added the canopy and the aerial mast to it after the photo was taken, so it's nearly done.

Looking good, is the Spit pilot behind about to give him the Top Gun bird?

The prop is now on, so it's just decals and final details now!

DONE!
A nice little kit - nothing difficult about building it, although I would have preferred to use a more accurate paint for the colour scheme. Mind you, I reckon it looks fine, and that's the main thing!

Cheers, Martin.
I'll get round to a spot of weathering at a later date, I think.
