Re: Daz's ship-borne Spitfire
Hi Daren you might find my walk round of the Seafire 17 in the fleet Air Arm Museum useful here is the link http://cluster8.secure-staging.uk/ashdo ... e%2017%20/
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.
Re: Daz's ship-borne Spitfire
Cheers for that, splash, I'll certainly give it a look. I think I will aim for this:
This, of course, being the Seafire XVII that flies here in the UK.

Re: Daz's ship-borne Spitfire
Very nice choice, in my eyes the XVII is the best looking of all the late Seafires with its short nose and teardrop canopy. Looking forward to seeing your build.

Re: Daz's ship-borne Spitfire
Made a start on painting this beast this morning. Then I had a look at the instruction book.
That's right.
A book.
A lot of the instructions obviously depend on how you intend on modeling the Seafire, but there's an awful lot to look at.
I'm intending on building mine as straightforward as possible - wings extended, gear down, etc.
Pics later.

I'm not sure I'll get this one finished by the end of the month.
I'll try to get done what I can this week, but it might be a push!

Sorry chaps, but I honestly can't see me getting this one finished by next week.
I will, however, get around to building it later on this year!
