Good choice. Tricky paint scheme though...

Cracking choice for this group build. I just finished reading the Chianti Raiders, very interesting if fruitless episode.

Are they called 'Cinzano' because that's what they dropped over England? If so, they should be charged with a possible war crime ;-)

The story of the build so far- the bomb bay doors have been cut away and the interior is being corrected by copying period images, unfortunately there are no examples in preservation and the only examples of the BR20 known to survive are submerged wrecks and consequently are of little use as reference.
Image

The interior is now finished and painted light grey ready for assembly.

The wing and tailplane halves have been assembled, the nose has been painted, assembled and fitted to the fuselage.

The airframe is now assembled and painted ready for final assembly.

This seems to be attracting interest, so here's the book mentioned earlier:

That looks really good.

May I ask, why did you paint the nose before you attached it?

I didn't paint the nose before I attached it to the fuselage Steve- I painted it as part of the fuselage before attaching the wings so that the engine cowlings wouldn't get in the way of the paint brush.
