Splinter camo now going on:

Not sure whether its a Humbrol RLM issue of it it's true to real life but the shade difference between
RLM 70 & 71 is quite subtle and once dried hard to see in artificial light, although it can be seen in
natural light.

It's not a Humbrol issue. The Xtracrylix are the same. In fact once I'd unmasked the Ju88 I used them on I wondered why I bothered with all that masking!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds that then :)

Engines, aerials and actuators now attached. Decals next then finally the canopies. Nearly there:

OK I'm calling this a finish. Although I need to locate my brass rod - which has temporarily done
a vanishing act - as I'm gong to create a stand about twice the normal height fit for a high
altitude reconnaissance aircraft. Also I need to find a couple of swastikas of the right size for
the tail but those will have to wait for now.

Very nice Indeed.

Are you going to build a Westland Welkin trying to catch it?

Very nice work on an unusual subject. ( the last time I saw a JU86 was in the Top Trumps I had at school!)

That's a very nice finish. Great work on Herman and Shultz too.
