Bluesteel gets a real Hurri on... ***FINISHED***

Post by bluesteel »

I'm going to try something I've never done before, three models in a GB with an
Airfix 1/72nd new tool Hurricane Mk 1. using decals from the Xtradecal BoB set for a
BoB Hurricane (not sure which of the three possibilities yet). Also another departure
from my usual in that it won't have a pilot! I'm thinking of a 'scramble diorama' with
the pilot running to get aboard :-D

Coming together quite quickly now. A nice detailed cockpit but hard to see much even with the canopy open...

Hurricane looks great. Like the look of the diorama.

All from the Airfix RAF Personnel set apart from the chap with the extinguisher who's from the Airfix RAF Emergency set. I may also use a motorcycle from the bomber supply set and a few more odds and ends.

Great idea that's shaping up nicely. Lots of action in the diorama.

That is shaping up really well.

Those Hurricanes all seem to have had a thing for really big letters didn't they!

Steve

The diorama is a great idea, really catches a sense of urgency.

I was going to put some flock on the bases of the Nissen Hut, Sandbags and figures but I can't
find my back of flock. So I'm calling it a finish for now as the Hurricane is 100%.

I've left enough room on the base for a second Hurricane with same squadron markings if I get around to it.

Really nice, that.

I must admit that I would like to do something similar, I just haven't got the confidence to do figures!
