Its looking good.

The cheapness of the PM kit makes it a cheap conversion, as the floats and tail aren't bad, it's just the rest of the kit. I'm starting to miss the PM kits already, it's a shame the family did not continue with the production line.

Did you find any problems mating the PM tail to the other kit?

The resin tail that I used did need some filling around the tail/fuselage join, but it got there in the end.

Painting up next...

Great work Daren mate.
The Tail part is a new resin piece that was produced when Tiger Hobbies did the limited run of this kit a few years ago. If anyone saw it there was a prototype of the model displayed at Telford a couple of years ago that had the components from Italeri, PM and New resin parts in different colours. (I know, I built and painted it). Quite a simple conversion really. Hope this helps.

My mistake  I thought you had used the PM kits tail, I really should read the threads rather than just looking at all the pretty pictures. :-D

So PM is done? That's a shame. I really like their Luft '46 kits, simple as they may be. Great work so far, Daren. Keep at 'er!

I'm calling it done.

I've not put the serials on it yet, so that will be done later.

It's a bit rough in spots, but that's more down to my cack-handed attempts at building rather than any fault of the kit.

Well done. So do you already have the MkIX floatplane built or is that still on the 'to do' list?

David

PS - that feline is seriously out of scale with the Spitfire

I haven't built the Mk.IX version, but if I'd screwed up the VB, the IX would have been the other option!

Nice one Daren. I hope that it passed missy's inspection. Looks fine to me though.

All the best.
