What Is The Last Movie/Show You Saw?
Re: What Is The Last Movie/Show You Saw?
Star Wars The Force Awakens.
Crikey!. The more I think it over the more I'm sure I liked it!. You always have hype, especially for Star Wars but this really was worth seeing. Everyone's there and the effects are much more real than CGI (apart from spaceships etc!).
I remember a quote from someone somewhere saying 'Please Disney don't mess this up'.
I don't think they have.

Re: What Is The Last Movie/Show You Saw?
Good to hear some positive feedback about the new movie...Disney's track record with franchises is pretty good...
In preparation for when I can get to civilisation to see it, I've just completed the bootleg despecialised version of the original trilogy, ending with return of the Jedi last night (twice - fell asleep the first time)...

Please critique my posts honestly i.e. say what you think so I can learn and improve...

VII
Just got back; it is great - pays homage to the original (IV-VI) while moving on with a terrific ending.
Daisey Ridley as Rey is superb !
Going back in a couple-three days.

Re: What Is The Last Movie/Show You Saw?
The new film has a great 'look', the walls, corridors etc all look smart shiny and new but they are reminiscent of the original look. VII also did humour spot on, in a way that, despite my liking for them, the prequels didn't. Han and Chewie are as good as ever and have an even better respectful bicker/banter!. I found myself smiling big time just when the 'STAR WARS' yellow outline appeared and went into the distance...
Mind you, I think I would fit in well in the SW galaxy, nearly everyone seems British!!.

The force Awakens- superb, good to see some Brits as heroes this time- loved the humour and playing spot -the -famous- actor- in-a-cameo.
Well worth going to see.

VII - again !
The first time through was a bit busy with all the old/new, but 2nd time really allowed me to follow the dialog & nuances much closer.
Both times I watched in 2-D which allowed me to focus on the plot - now I'm ready for IMAX.
Just might do another in a few days.

Vampire Circus
An Austrian village is set upon by a scourge of vampires from the local travelling circus. Cue lots of nasty goings on and some boobage. Good fun.
Countess Dracula
Ingrid Pitt plays a Hungarian countess who discovers that the only way to remain youthful is to drain the blood of local virgins. Boobs and blood abound.
Jaws 3
Giant rubber shark mayhem, only this time in a brand-new oceanarium in Florida.
Jaws: The Revenge
The silliest one of the lot sees the Brody family menaced by a great white shark in the Bahamas, seemingly bent on finishing them all off.

Re: What Is The Last Movie/Show You Saw?
Have noticed the plot of VII is similar to IV, won't list them yet in case people haven't seen it but if you have, think it over...
(Still like it a LOT though )

Re: What Is The Last Movie/Show You Saw?
As the temptation to discuss Star Wars VII, The Force Awakens, may be too great, or a spoiler may be disclosed accidentally, I have set up a *** Spoiler Thread ***.
Please confine your remarks here to simple "seen/loved/hated it".

Cowboys and Aliens. A much maligned rootin' tootin' adventure with Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford.
I rather enjoyed it.
The Ridiculous 6. Another cowboy movie but this time a comedy. I don't very much care for Adam Sandler movies normally but I found this one to be quite amusing.
