Blood Red Blue Supermoon!
So, today is a Blue Moon, a Supermoon AND a total lunar eclipse! Won't happen again for another 20 years or so.
We had pretty clear skies and I was able to get a reasonable shot of it:
For the best shots, one needs one of those stabilizing, tracking tripods that follow the movement of the Moon - my standard tripod and my zoom lens leads to a 1/2 to 1/3 second exposure at ISO6400 - leading to some blurriness and quite a bit of noise. But not too bad considering! And a pretty amazing sight to behold!

That looks a great shot Paul!
I'm hoping to get some later from here in Blighty, albeit without the blood red and eclipse bits

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Clear as crystal here in MK, this was taken about an hour ago on my 'middle' camera, a Canon Powershot SX 540 HS. It has a 50x optical zoom, and pretty good stabilisation
Best wishes

That's from your 'middle' camera? Very impressive. I can't imagine what your 'highend' camera would do.

great shot Paul. We had our usual overcast with 2-3 inches Lake Effect Snowfall.

I thought it looked slightly bigger and very bright here but it didn't make me go all furry and start howling though - most disappointing
