Re: OT's Springbok Mirage III
I got the Mirage up on it's legs yesterday. Not a tail sitter.
Then after a coat of Klear started decaling last night.
ejsnotgrass has kindly offered me some decals that should solve tail markings issue so thanks again mate.
Just have a few warning markings to apply, in both English & Afrikans. Then the white panels on the tail (dialetic panels?) which will be made from whit decal paper.
After that it's just the U\C doors and I think she will be done.

Re: OT's Springbok Mirage III
Thanks chaps, glad you like it. I'm calling this one done as far as the group build goes as I am just waiting on the fin flash to arrive. Once it does I will do some glamour shots for the completions section.
Here she is:
A classic Heller kit that went together without problems. I am planning on building the recce version soon.
I like the way the JL-100 rocket\fuel tanks turned out too:lol:

That's really a very nice build. Think I'll have to build mine now seeing how well yours has turned out. Top modelling OT

Nice work. I like the rocket pod/fuel tanks, that's some intent shown there!.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Thanks for the kind words guys. I enjoyed this build a lot and you have to love the shape of the Mirage III don't you. Looks cool in any colours.
Yes they are something unusual but I'm not sure I would fancy using them. After all, igniting rockets that close to aviation fuel is asking for trouble in my book.MarkyM607 wrote:Nice work. I like the rocket pod/fuel tanks, that's some intent shown there!.

That is a stunner OT. I have to agree with you about the pod/tanks, as an idea it's as sensible sounding as a mains powered electric loofahOld_Tonto wrote:Yes they are something unusual but I'm not sure I would fancy using them.
