Purplethistles "Seelowen +4"**FINISHED**

To build a pairing of machines which would have had a dog-fight, which is the general term for fighter aeroplanes fighting each other. It does not include bomber interception, or missile attacks, but does include "dogfight" type combat of ships, AFV, Sci-Fi, etc.
GB runs 3 Oct - 15 Nov and your host is FredK.

I think this is straying too far from the concept of ''a dog fight double''.
Its becoming a very elaborate diorama.
Please get it back to just a couple of contenders.
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

No worries, I'm just doing the two protagonists with one other vehicle in the background as scene setting atmosphere. I'll keep my grand Seelowen scenes like the 'Capture of Lympne airfield' and 'Invasion beach' for elsewhere :-D

That's why I'm not doing mine here. I'm taking it over to figures to continue Thistle's original Operation Sea Lion success idea.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Seelowen +4
As the German forces pull back to Folkestone for evacuation, A panzer III that had pushed to the outskirts of Hawkinge Airfield is forced to scavenge for enough fuel to make it back to the coast. At White Horse Hill near Hawkinge it is intercepted by a Matilda II of 4 RTR, which has been rushed from East Grinstead.

I'm afraid that this is a rather reduced version of what I was planning, but seeing as The Skipper reckoned that it was getting too far from the original Dogfight Double, I reckon I'll call this one finished for the purposes of the GB. I will return to it at a later point and expand it to the scene that I had imagined.

Do the full version elsewhere, I'm intrigued.
P.S. I'm working on mine still, despite lack of updates. Got two 109's underway. Poss trying to escape from recently occupied RAF Lympne as British troops arrive to retake the airfield.

I won't be able to do anything kitwise until the end of the month, I've got to do a bunch of illustrations for a short story...at VERY short notice, but I have a couple of ideas that I hope will convey a large scale scene using minimal kits ;-)
