Shane's Magister ** Finished**

In honor of all those ol' training aircraft - the home of many a foundering fledgling oblivious that while the IP was attempting to show a calm, reassuring demeanor, his hands, tightly clutched onto some aircraft part, were slowly tearing it to pieces .... Many of us have been there .... The GB runs 1 to 29 Nov, and your host is Old_Tonto.

A bit of basic priming has been done, nothing worthwhile to show. Overall silver finish should make it an easy build.

Couple of update pics, cockpit painted nato black with brown seat covering. Little bits of colour to the ips and side panels. Added a couple of air rifle pellets in the nose just in case.
Any idea if the Luftwaffe pilots would have worn orange flight suits or stuck with green?

In the process of painting up the crew and masking the canopy. Hopefully I won't have much seam work to do once I've primed tomorrow,

Good luck, I hope you are proved right and don't have too much work to do!
Best wishes

The seams came back to bite me after giving it a coat of silver leaf, I couldn't see them under the black primer. Grrrr. Popped a bit of dissolved putty on them and will give it another go this weekend.

The Magister is an extremely popular kit over here, being the principal trainer for the IAC until 1999 and also used in the Silver Swallows air display team. This one is coming along nicely!

Decaling time, a nerve wracking experience so far. The decals don't want to come off the sheet. I'm having to slip the bristles of a brush under them to lift them off the sheet. Trying not to let any fold on themselves. It's taken an hour to get to this stage.
