Good to see a P51 that's not a D. Is there are choice of markings with it?

Two choices. I'll have to look again, but they're both OD Green choicesTobyC wrote:Good to see a P51 that's not a D. Is there are choice of markings with it?

I've got the Revell 51B and keep meaning to do it in RAF markings. Looking forward to seeing yours done.

Re: P-51B Mustang Easy Build
Made a start of this. Fit has been good, just a few minor gaps to fill.
Think I'll go with the decal/paint scheme on the right.

Re: P-51B Mustang Easy Build
Yes they have Moulded the blades backwards.
It's also not a straightforward as chopping them off and realigning them. I ended up replacing the prop with one from an Academy kit.
Cheers

Re: P-51B Mustang Easy Build
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I don't have any other kits to replace it with. Guess it's a trade off with the easy build kits- accuracy vs. easeGadfly wrote:Yes they have Moulded the blades backwards.

Re: P-51B Mustang Easy Build
Yes I understand.. Quickboost might do a replacement cuffed mustang prop in 1/72.
I guess you need to weigh up if it's worth it to you. I'm sure your build will look fine either way.

Re: P-51B Mustang Easy Build
Is it a one piece canopy? I'm looking for a Malcolm hood 'stang but was wondering if I could put a Spit hood on this kit

Re: P-51B Mustang Easy Build
IIRC this kit also comes with s Malcom hood. As I used
This kit to build a RAF PR Mustang.
