Base coming along.. an old blank CD, coat of polyfilla then layers of dilute PVA and grassy throwy sprinkly stuff going down. The white bit will be dried mud because I want to have a play with the new Citadel texture paints.. seen some very nice results with them down at t'Warhammer shop.
Is this your sanderling?.

I like the base, that grass has turned out great.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

As Splash says, the grass had turned out really well. Nice work!
Best wishes

'The plane is in the tree', sounds like a radio message from London to Rene Artois. 'Look in the book'.Molly-new wrote:NOT something you like to read in a modelling thread too often...Arcwelder wrote: the plane is in the tree..

Heh.
Final reveal shots in proper daylight, but this is done.
I tried to represent the flyboy "relaxing" the way pilots know best by converting the artillery shell in his hand to a wine bottle (trimmed it down and painted it with transparent green). You wouldn't know in this scale though. Oh, and the reason he's still got his flying cap on is because he has a concussion, right?
A French chap on a bike will also be on the scene..
Just need to rearrange one of the wings in the tree and we're all good..

It's done..
Nieuport meets Beech. Hilarity ensues.
You'll have to take my word from it, and this angle doesn't really show it, but it's all within the circumference of the CD. Some careful manipulation of the plane required to get it that way.
Jean-Pierre & Bucky contemplate prop shards (and dammit, forgot to put gunmetal on barrel of rifle.. I'll fix that directly)
And the CD tie-in, a'course!
Holy moley, I finished a GB! That was fun.
