A Desert Island Disc-'The Lost Boys'***Finished***

Any subject, any scale, just so long as it fits within the outer diameter of a CD (or DVD, or BlueRay). And some of those famous UAMF extra ninja brownie bonus points if you can match the CD/DVD with the subject of the build.

Super work!

I like the idea of the rotating base.

During my research I came across a picture of a vehicle sporting a Flag over the bonnet so decided to create one myself using a piece of painted wine bottle foil (I have plenty of this after Christmas) and a self printed decal:

It will probably not be to everyones taste, but to me it is an historic representation of how things were.

The stowage has now been completed, the tow rope is made up of a couple of strands of wire twisted together:

Image
The shovel was made from some plastic card (old store card) and stretched sprue, the tarpaulin is rolled up tissue soaked in PVA with painted tape straps:

Image
The camnet on the rear is a piece of netting that fruit in boxes come in, sealed with PVA and painted:

Image
The water cans are made from bits of plastic card and thin strips of wine bottle foil for the carriers:

With the vehicles on the base I realise that some more weathering is required to blend the tires in to the base coloured sand:

I have some pastels that should do the trick.

Good advice John, luckily I thought of that but it is certainly an area that I have missed in the past.

Here is the finished item:

And a couple of close ups:

The flash has made the dusting look a darker red but in real light it looks the same colour as the base so I am happy with it.

Super job! It's a wonderful scene with many possible story lines that could be applied (As every good dio should have!)
