Theme from The Sting - Airfix Scorpion *Finished*

Any subject, any scale, just so long as it fits within the outer diameter of a CD (or DVD, or BlueRay). And some of those famous UAMF extra ninja brownie bonus points if you can match the CD/DVD with the subject of the build.
Runs 20 Dec to 31 Jan, and your host is jRatz.

Thanks Nigel

The white bits now have foliage on them, and I also painted the tarp on the back.

I found the "safe" place where the tracks were stored

Image

They are a little short, but by having the joint at the drive wheel, this is hidden, so it's not serious.

Fully tracked now.

Lights, hatches, wing mirrors and aerials still need adding.

Nice one, what a peach the little Scorpion is. Ah the scourge of rubber band tracks, the bally things are either as tight as a bow string, slack to the point of falling off the wheels or two links too short  Hiding the join behind the shields is the way to go but on many occasions I've been baffled by modellers taking the decision to have the unsightly join visible on the bottom run of track when they could have hidden the thing behind the side skirts :???:

Funny you should mention that, I am just in the process of printing a parking ticket for the tank.

Might be tricky to clamp a tracked vehicle!

I should get most of this finished today:

Image

Towing cables (elastic thread) and wing mirrors added to the deck. I also added a stretched sprue aerial to the turret.

Some matt varnish needed to seal everything up.

Think it needs a driver or commander scratching his head over the ticket or the driver trying to explain the ticket to the commander.

Or even the Meter Maid who put the ticket on the tank looking for her next victim.

Just saying.

A popular twist could be the turret swivelled towards the traffic warden 'persuading' him to rescind the ticket! :-D

Here's a Belgian 'Thistle' Squadron Hurri falling foul of the same ticket wielding facists!

Some nice working going on there Andrew. I have actually received a parking ticket whilst in a Scimitar. Whilst learning to drive in Andover we stopped in a cafe car park for a tea break and came back to find a ticket tucked under the drivers hatch. The instructor rang the office to argue that there is no windscreen to stick a parking ticket to but got no joy and had to pay the fine!

Great work Andrew - That's a really good looking build and I really like the concept.
