The Road to Dunkirk (B.E.F 1940) (Finished!!!)

Any subject, any scale, just so long as it fits within the outer diameter of a CD (or DVD, or BlueRay). And some of those famous UAMF extra ninja brownie bonus points if you can match the CD/DVD with the subject of the build.
Runs 20 Dec to 31 Jan, and your host is jRatz.

Thanks Gents!

I've added the Acrylic paste to the CD and stuck the Tank and some figures into it - hopefully I can crack on with the final painting tomorrow if there's time (It's my son's birthday).

I might get this finished but it'll be tight!

I like that snowy road, maybe you should paint the tank white as well? :ha: ;-)

Lol - yeah it NEVER came to mind  :ha:

Well I've flocked (oo-er) the base and weathered the Vickers. Just an antenna to add and some painting needed on the figures and it's done.

wow - I might actually finish a GB!

Well done for persevering with this one, if it had bin me I would have given when it all went Pete Tong.

Woohoo! I've finished a GB!

Here you go - A small dio of the BEF on the retreat to Dunkirk in 1940. It's not quite what I had in mind when I first started but I'm reasonably pleased with the result.

More pictures in the finished Thread.

I really enjoyed this GB - thanks for the comments and support.

Cheers

You should be more than "reasonably pleased", it's a lovely little dio and very nicely staged!
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Looks great, Stuart. Well done. I like the squiggly tracks in the grass and is that thrown up dirt stuck to back of the tank? Neat.

Thanks Gents!

That is indeed supposed to be thrown up mud etc. I wanted to give the impression it had taken a bit of a beating and had done some high speed running away!.

Cheers

High speed strategic withdrawing is I think what the 'Top Brass' would prefer you to call it methinks!

Excellent ! It came out great and I agree that mud tracks really make it work !

Maybe next time we do this, we'll restrict it to winter subjects so you can practice your new skills
