Heavy Metal **Finished**

Any subject, any scale, just so long as it fits within the outer diameter of a CD (or DVD, or BlueRay). And some of those famous UAMF extra ninja brownie bonus points if you can match the CD/DVD with the subject of the build.
Runs 20 Dec to 31 Jan, and your host is jRatz.

Re: Heavy Metal - Finished

Post by philp »

The base is pretty much done. Just about to add some rust stains here and there and then another wash on the bot to tie it in.

Still need to do some detail painting on Maelee but just a few straps, eyes, lips, some highlights in her hair, the goggles and some touch up on the wrench and she should also be done.

Pretty sure (knock wood) I can get it all finished up before tomorrow night (my time). Would be nice to finish a GB here.

Looks great!
I hope you have plenty of dosh to spare if you're giving Maelee highlights; judging by Mrs iggie's hairdressing bills
Best wishes

OK, calling this one done.

Here are a few of the finished shots and will put some of these and maybe some different ones in the Gallery.

Thanks for the fun GB and my first completed diorama other than the Zvezda wargame gun sets.

I like that a lot!

I'm not familiar with the characters, but the setting and the detailing tell a great story without needing to know what they are about; really good work!

Very good, I wasn't sure where this was going, but it's a well-executed scene.
Didn't that girl throw that tool at a window in a very early Apple commercial ?

Thanks guys.

Think I still need to hit the whole thing with some Dullcoat and maybe stick some scrubs around the rocks but overall I am happy to get these off out of the stash.

iggie,
The characters are specific to Bombshell Miniatures, not from any movie, etc. They came up with a game called Counterpoint and they fit in that universe a bit but Maelee is also Bombshell's mascot.

And for those of you that liked Firefly, you may notice a similarity between her name and a certain engineer on that show.

That's brilliant I love the way the action says it all.
