Tempting, but no.. and it's not the WNW one either.

Another golden oldie. Or oldie, anyway.

Somewhat lacking in the MG department. I should be able to use the much-better D VII 08s, of which I have a surplus pair.

Now there's a slightly less-than-truthful date stamp. 1962 is more like it.

von Brauneck's Jasta 11 machine, I think... we're off at 10 GMT.

Good luck with this one Arc, 1981 indeed!!!
I'll try and check in later but I'm off up the canal for a bit to go for lunch at the pub. May not bother starting the engine, just get my mate to stand in the bows holding a tea towel up.....it's flipping windy here!
Best wishes

Jim

Windy here, too.. a good day for staying in with the styrene.. although a pub lunch sounds appealing.

I have considered attempting to blitz this kit myself many times, but always wussed out

I'm dead keen to see how yours pans out. Might even get the courage to finally tackle it myself.

And what will you be brewing up this time? Some sort of dunkelweizen perhaps? :-D

Ha!

No brewing today, sadly. The beer from the other day is blooping like a mad thing though. Good, good. I do love a Dunkel, White Gypsy Brewery in Tipperary make a verrrrry nice one.

The scheme....

It's going to be Lt. Otto Brauneck's Jasta 11 mount April-July 1917. Overall red with blue spinner and elevators (to diffrentiate him from the all-red of von Richthofen). Wing uppers in threer-colour camo, lowers in light blue. He had ten confirmed kills but his career with Jasta 11 was short: he transferred there at the end of "Bloody April" and was shot down and killed in July.

More pics soon.

Checking in on the hour...

Not much is happening right now. Paint is drying. Ho hum.

Next up is drilling holes for rigging. Unlike the D VII, Albert Ross here has a fair amount of wiring.

Missed the start of this on account of having had to do some work. Work. On a Monday. How very dare they. Ruined my whole weekend.

Having fallen for your cunning ruse last night I'm sure that you can imagine my surprise to find yet another bicycle plane being built here. A subterfuge worthy of Biggles himself.

We have a class in Sociological Research Methodology first thing on a Monday. It's every bit as scintillating as it sounds.

Yes that does sound… great. I still remember my unbridled joy at the beginning of my final year at university upon discovering that I had a 9am lecture every single day of the week. 90 minutes of droning about some obscure marketing subject and a hangover do not mix well. At all.
