Sorry I missed your build, it makes you wonder what the designers were on when they built a steam powered submarine, the M-class were not much better, fitting a big gun or an a/c hanger on a flawed design was never going to be a good idea.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Re: Mikr Mir 1/350 K-class Submarine ** Finished **
This may be the 3rd or 4th submarine I've built in 60-some years, with the others being old nuke-thingies from way back when. The only one still in my stash is a 1/400 VIIB destined to play a supporting role as U-85 to a 1/400 USS Roper flush deck conversion.
So, this was an impulse buy when I saw it simply because it's WW1 and helps fill a hole in my WW1-sea completions column. BTW, if you want a good book on undersea warfare in WW1 and WW2, try John Terraine's Business upon Great Waters.
So, the kit is simple enough with no real flaws. It's a bit plain and could stand enhancement with hull detail, railings, rigging, etc - but I've not found much on the internet - there were too few, they weren't used much operationally, and they weren't photo'd much. So, I took the kit at face value and built what I'd been given. If you would like to have a RN WW1 sub in 1/350, there is no reason to not try this kit; the only fussy parts are the photo-etch and the props.
I've missed several Blitzbau's recently, and wanted to get back into them with something less than challenging that would accommodate my sometimes out-of-my-control schedule and this worked. I took 24 hours, but actually worked half of that, if even. I've done Blitz' before that were 26 hours real work crammed somehow into 24 and I actually used to pick my victims to push myself to that level. Maybe another time.
Again, thanks for watching and for your support.
