Blimey Arc, you do like a challenge don't you?!!!

Like the look of the breakfast roll though; I had kippers this morning :-D
Best wishes

Well, an hour and we've not got very far... breakfast roll was great , though. Not had kippers in years...

Admittedly I'm also writing a sociology assignment at the same time so may not be my usual focused, machine-like self. Ahem.

In "Not thinking this through enough" I'd forgotten that EDSG is satin.. and the Humbrol acrylic is incredibly thick and needs thinning. Drying time=pants. Oh well. Onwards.

Go for it mate. The Matchbox Swordfish is a nice little kit and should hold no horrors, even I managed built one to a reasonable standard !!! Got to admit though rigging a blitzbuild makes you a braver man than I my friend.

All the best.

Sun has put in an appearance which means that I can ascertain that it is over the yard arm. Joy.

A note on that bottle opener: it has a pretty cool provenance and it's very good. https://www.etsy.com/ie/shop/YOpeners/a ... f=announce

Here's some really bad photos of paint drying. Soon I can start drilling holes. May have been a mistake to use the pilots, but the interior is pretty sparse.

It's a nice kit, for all tha'.

I can focus a bit more as my assignment is about done: I've used the word "Liminal" twice. I'm not proud.

Thanks OT.. and everyone else, a' course

OK, sorry for lack of updates: we had a bit of a situation with a downstairs rad springing a leak. I've got it sorted as best i can, but going to have to have a professional look at it on Monday.

Anyway: plastic.

Finally been able to join up the fuse halves. I should have said "Damn the torpedos" and just closed it to start with.

Wings getting camo. Nearly out of Hu 31 in acrylic.. that preparation paying off again. I have enamel but RLM 02 is meant to be a close enough match, no? That I have in quick-drying form..

Rigging holes be drilled.

Image

Engine is nearly ready to be hidden away.

Image

More regular updates going forward unless something goes hideously wrong with the plumbing.

It is! It's a lovely old Matchbox kit with much to recommend it and plenty of scope for detailing (not that I'm going near any of that!)

The NT Airfix is utterly lovely.. I have the floatplane in me stash but that one I'll build in a leisurely fashion.

Here we are, then.. still so very slow

Upper wings wired. I further slowed myself down by first rigging and fastening the lines on the lower wing by accident.

Stout.
