Well. It's like this, OT…
undercarriage is ready for final assembly, as is everything else.
Problem being that I have decals softening and setting all over the place. There's practically nowhere to hold the airframe. It's a case of waiting and then just blasting it at the end.
The small artwork decal went for a walk. Your guess is as good as mine

I'm going to resort to the hot towel method.
That's not the same as the Crystal Method.

Maybe you should have used some of that soup to soften the decals.

Smudged the serial and tail band on one side. It was bound to happen. I can rescue that but not tonight. I'll carry on regardless. I meant to do it.
I need flat coat. Looking for where I put it right now.
Those decals have a lot to answer for.

Well, it's as done as it's going to be. Didn't think it would get finished but I'm calling it that. I missed out the boarding step, pitot and aerial as I want to make finer ones than the kit supplies.
I think I'll get another one of these and take a lot of time over it. It deserves much more than it got in 24 hours. Having said that, it's not so bad. One of these, to the same standard, in 1/48 would be ideal - I really struggle with 1/72. My fingers get in their own way, and I even had to resort to wearing glasses at some stages. I certainly couldn't build this scale all day.
The decals wouldn't have worried me in the least if time hadn't been an issue. As it was, I grew impatient and very carelessly smudged one by picking up the model without engaging my brain first. As they say at IBM - thimk. Annoying. Salvageable but annoying.
Now… who mentioned food? Oh that's right. I did.
I'm going to go and get all creole. Thanks for looking.
We didn't have The Fall yet.

Thanks, and thanks for looking. Doesn't look too bad in daylight. I seriously overdid the exhaust staining due to poor visibility under halogen lighting. It was invisible last night. It's like whatsits on a bull this morning.
