Glad to see you haven't lost heart despite the set backs 'cos it's going to look great when finished.

Nice job of repainting, and I'm sure the white glue will do the job on the cargo door area.

This really is getting to look a great build!
Best wishes

I'm declaring this one done (in the nick of time!). I had a lot of luck with the decals and antennas going on relatively easily today.

The decals are a judicious mix of Airfix and Liveries Unlimited with the cockpit and freight door coming from the AHS sheet. A couple of tiny ones were homemade including the NACA duct at the base of the fin as Frog didn't mould one in. The freight door is a bit too stark but I can live with it and I decided not to push my luck and omitted the wing walkways as, historically, I do not have much luck with long thin strips of decals. The door passenger door frames are probably the wrong colour too but I wanted to use them as the fuselage would look very bare without them.

The VC-10 is the most gorgeously elegant airliner ever IMHO and certainly did its part in Operation Granby.

There's a few things I'd have done better if I wasn't trying to meet a GB deadline but, on the whole, I am very pleased with this one and without the GB, it probably wouldn't have been built for years, if ever!

Thanks for all the support throughout.

Sweet finish Boss!
I have to admit that thought that kit was irretrievably pigs ear-ish, but you've worked wonders there.

Most impressive work, you have made a very, very , very old kit into a work of art, well done.

I only ever flew a couple of times in an RAF VC10. I still think they were one of the most attractive and comfortable airliners ever built (even though the RAF did fit all the passenger seats facing rearwards)
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Beautiful work; as said, such a graceful and elegant aircraft, in any scheme....and a pity they'll not be seen in the air again

Great work to produce such a great build
Best wishes
