Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Re: "Nothing much to see, hear"
Is it just me or does it look like Airfix didn't quit get the shape of the fuselage facets just right?
Maybe it is just how it looks in that pic.

I think the colour is all wrong
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Re: "Nothing much to see, hear"
I have re-adjusted the radar settings so you should now be able to see the parts.
Not too much to it so it shouldn't take long.
It will be built OOB using the markings for 415th Tactical Fighter Squadron (TFS) "Nightstalkers" of 37th Tactical Fighter Wing (TFW) based at King Khalid Air Base, Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia.
F-117A Nighthawk stealth fighters were the first aircraft to engage in offensive operations. The stealth technology of the plane allowed it to fly directly to the Iraqi capital of Baghdad without detection. Mission planners had assigned critical strategic Iraqi command and control installations to 37th TFW, counting on the aircraft's ability to hit precisely at well-defended targets without being seen or detected by Iraqi air defenses.

Re: "Nothing much to see, hear"
Do you think you can cope with masking that complex camo scheme?

No problem, I may have to get another pot of black paint though.dwomby wrote:Do you think you can cope with masking that complex camo scheme?
As always I made a start with the cockpit:
Annoyingly the seat is molded in two pieces which would make it bloomin' awkward to fill and sand.
To overcome this I will be using one or Revell's NATO pilots to cover it up:
It does come with a nice IP Decal though.

Re: "Nothing much to see, hear"
The pit and IP are now in place, and the pilot painted up and test fitted:
I will pop him out for painting. Thankfully it has rained over the weekend so I got the fuselage clamped together:

Re: "Nothing much to see, hear"
Sorry about the lack of updates but I have been having computer problems just recently.
The wings have been fitted but the fit wasn't fantastic so I had to add some filler:
This has now been sanded back and I should be able to blast a coat of primer over it tomorrow.
