iggie's Desert Brick ***FINISHED ***
While I'm on a roll, and mainly to use up the Desert Pink I made up for the Jag, this old tooling is going to get done!
Started the cockpit last night (such as it is) but forgot to take pic's; more tonight so will get some photos then

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Re: iggie's Desert Brick
The last one I did, the intakes lips and the rear fuselage were a bit warped. Nothing insurmountable but watch for it.

Re: iggie's Desert Brick
Cheers David; I have welded the fuselage together now, and so far all looks well......but I'm sure it'll catch me out somewhere!

Re: iggie's Desert Brick
Current state of play:
Airframe fully assembled, pylons attached sans weaponry/pods, and panel lines pre-shaded with Tamiya flat brown. Antennae and other projecting bits now added too. Some filler was required along the base of the tail plane, and at the front edge of the slipper tanks at the wing edge, also the nose was a horrible fit so that got the treatment as well. Otherwise, for it's age this isn't a a bad kit!
In other news, my newly aquired ultrasonic cleaner has done a fantastic job on my airbrush! Why the heck didn't I get one before?

Re: iggie's Desert Brick
Long time no post....but progress has been made none the less; so much so but this brick is done
It's not my best (or Airfix' either frankly) but it looks like a Bucc and that's good enough for me!

Well done it looks brilliant, I like how you have done the subtle pre-shading. I have always loved the look of the Brick and the Gulf colours really suit it.
This is one kit that Airfix should re-tool.

That pre-shading worked really well. Congratulations on your hat-trick.
