Paul's Late Seafire

Honoring Edgar Brooks, a Spitfire researcher and contributor to many modelling forums, we have the Every Mark of Spitfire GB -- in which at least one of each will be built, not in a free-for-all, but to a "plan".
The GB runs from 27 Feb 2016 to 10 April and your host are Martin R and Sir T.

That just looks so sweet, Paul. The canopy is crystal clear.
I'm looking forward to your finish photos.

Seafires do look so good in those Pacific Fleet markings.

She's got legs... and a sludge wash. The prop is painted and ready to be assembled, wheels ready to attach to the legs when dry and just a few more fiddly bits to go. Final step will be a flat coat of varnish tomorrow afternoon and it'll be done. Easy, peasy - bags of time left..... ;-)

Cheers, guys.

I should be done today, Martin, but I'll let you now if I run into any issues that will prevent that. 8-)

More in the Gallery.

An interesting kit - while not 100% accurate and lacking in the detail we expect from modern kits, it does build up quickly and easily, and I enjoyed it, for the most part.

Many thanks to our esteemed leader!

And spare a thoughtful moment for our friend, Edgar.

Cheers, Stu. I think he might have cringed at the inaccuracies that I didn't correct, though!

Nice one, Paul. I like the panel wash showing up the undersides.
