Stuart's Spitfire F.mk.24***Finished***

Honoring Edgar Brooks, a Spitfire researcher and contributor to many modelling forums, we have the Every Mark of Spitfire GB -- in which at least one of each will be built, not in a free-for-all, but to a "plan".
The GB runs from 27 Feb 2016 to 10 April and your host are Martin R and Sir T.

Bit of a quick update - I made a bit of progress...

It goes together quite quickly this kit. The cockpit painting was pretty basic Black with silver dry brushing, the ip decal and tape belts.

Cheers

Hi, don't know if you still need them but I have a spare set of the rockets from the frog sea venom (shown above that dwomby couldn't spare) ,if you want them?. I have four paired rockets on the sprue I found in my spares box. I have the toko sea venom as well, if it's the same kit it might have more?.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

The painting has been finished and the second coat of gloss is now drying.
I'm also in the process of painting the little bits and bobs.

Some progress - fuse decals are on. I can't do anymore to the wing until I've painted the yellow leading edges or drilled the holes for the rockets.

Looking good. Stuart, how are you painting - is that two brush coats of Humbrol acrylics?

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Thanks all!

Hi David - yes it's 2 (or three - I forget) coats of reasonably thinned Acrylic brushed on a wet surface. I could have probably added another coat but I liked the patchy surface.

Sorry, the pictures awful - I'll try and get a better one up asap.
