Gadfly's Vb and Seafire IIC *Finished*

Honoring Edgar Brooks, a Spitfire researcher and contributor to many modelling forums, we have the Every Mark of Spitfire GB -- in which at least one of each will be built, not in a free-for-all, but to a "plan".
The GB runs from 27 Feb 2016 to 10 April and your host are Martin R and Sir T.

Thanks...

I just build em as best I can like anyone else.. The Tamiya kit is really great and allows you to get to the point of painting with minimal fuss.

Superb GF - those colours look great.

Ok update time...

I have been progressing..

I elected to Paint the upper wing roundels cutting some masks with the compass cutter I also masked and painted the tail national markings. The balance of the markings are decals it needs a few stencils adding. I mixed the roundel colours form Tamiya paints I think the match is reasonable. It looks very clean and shiny currently and will need weathering up a bit to make it look less like a Corgi toy..

Cheers

That Vb looks simply gorgeous. I'd never have the nerve to paint on roundels like that.

What a gorgeous pair they make. I love the delicate wear showing on the Vb.
