PTs Seafire III ***FINISHED***

Honoring Edgar Brooks, a Spitfire researcher and contributor to many modelling forums, we have the Every Mark of Spitfire GB -- in which at least one of each will be built, not in a free-for-all, but to a "plan".
The GB runs from 27 Feb 2016 to 10 April and your host are Martin R and Sir T.

It does indeed, and the stripes look authentically applied
Best wishes

Invasion stripes look really nice, Purple.
It seems odd to me, to paint finals before the tail plane is attached. I'm always required to repair the joins to fuselage before paint.

Cheers chaps.
I don't always put kits together in this way 59, it depends on whether the plane is to be heavily weathered and / or if the dry fit is very good. If the finished paintwork is meant to look well worn, any minor gaps at wing roots etc will be filled with PVA mixed with acrylic paint of the colour for that area. Sometimes it takes two applications, but is still less faff (to me) than filling, sanding etc, as it can be smoothed with a damp brush.

I might have to try that as I am getting a bit tired of PSR at the moment.

Some more weathering and some decals, the codes will take a wee while, being 'Frankendecals' ( cutting up 'LO -D' to make '2D' - the original 'D' is standard RAF style, but I need to make a Navy one with serifs

Lovely job, PT. The large invasions stripes look spectacular. Great backdrop too!

Brilliant work I love Spitfires with stripes.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.
