Post by JohnRatzenberger »

This is a GB celebrating the 10th Anniversary of UAMF. Any subject, kit, scale, etc with a connection to the number 10thing is eligible I think maybe a G/B with the connection being the number 10 -- for example: A10 Warthog, Meteor PR10, A car with race number 10, you get the idea.

This GB started from a thread here.

The GB runs from March 10th to April 10th; your GBL is Gregers who will fill in any other info.

Durn it, I never thought of the OV10.
I have one sitting waiting to be done which I'd like done for the 21st
Would it appear silly for me to do mine as well?
Only other thing I have [maybe] is a Chippie T.10
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

There's the 10th regiment of hussars waiting to get representation in my display case. Not the old Airfix 10th British hussars, mind you, but their French opposites, by Master Box.
Can't help but wonder if those regiments ever bumped heads, but I'd better keep them apart on the shelves just in case.

Welcome aboard guys.
Fred. No reason why we both can't do an OV10. Mine will be a USN example.

All the best.

Argh!, didn't realise this started so soon. Alright, I forgot!. I'll find something although I don't have room in my six work spaces for another. Oh wait I just finished the Challenger 2. Okay, on we go....

Hang on, a visit to the loft has turned up an old (probably very old) Whirlwind HAS.22. I have an airwaves resin nose to make a HAS.10. Does this count?. If so I'll crack on with this from the 10th.
My other candidates are/were:-

Beaufighter TF.X- already built one so maybe not.
Wellington X- not sure I want to build this one just yet.
VC-10 K.2- already built one of these as XR808 'Bob'.
N(AW)-10A Thunderbolt II. -This seems popular with other modellers in this GB so might do this one later.
OV-10 Bronco- as above!
VC-10 Poffler. Using an Airfix VC-10 and a S&M Models poffler conversion this is a skybolt carrying VC-10!!!
Airbus A310- not sure if this would count?.
KC-10- have one built so again perhaps later in another scheme?
Mil-10- not sure of maker (Playfix) but not the best looking kit so one for another time.
Harrier T.10- also already built one.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Hi Mark
Any of the models on the list would be perfect. I do like the sound of that Whirlwind though.

All the best.

I regret that I am unable to participate. I cannot start until the 15th at earliest, would have to stop soon after the 1st, and the available interval is all broken up with stuff and another project I will be desperately trying to finish by the 6th.

I had persuaded myself to do the old Williams Bros 1/72 Martin B-10 but I'm unsure of the decals and cannot check them until I crack the box on the 15th.

So I will be watching and wish everyone success ....

Cheers for letting us know John, it's a shame but real life takes priority. I had looked at my B10 for this but it's not got any transparencies in it. Haven't got a clue what happened to them, maybe they were never there in the first place?

All the best.
