Really smart work there, hard to believe it's the old MB kit. Nice one

It was surprisingly easy to fix the worst of the shape problems, and it's an enjoyable build. I made no attempt to pep up the interior, and the rear canopy needs modifying and a Vickers K gun adding.

Thanks Martin. Your suggestion about the wings really helped the overall look. I think the tail needs more dihedral, but I'm happy overall, as it was a fun build.

I think I will be asking my family for the NT Airfix kit for my birthday :-D

Agreed, not too shabby at all and well done for pressing on after your decal issues.

Adding a cover to the wing lights with a bit of cling film.

You'll have to do a demo on that cling film technique one day, Andrew - I've tried a couple of times but not been able to make it work. Looks pretty good when you do it!

I'm just following Jim's (Jagewa's) method

Key thing is a sharp blade to cut the cling film. And patience. That was my fourth attempt.

I'm hoping that Matt varnish will disguise the messy edges.

I know the feeling. I have to attach another 16 tiny exhausts to the resin Pegasus engine on my Bristol 138,and it's getting to the "AARGH" stage.

Thank you for that link Andrew, I have a build ongoing for which this will be most useful!
Best wishes
