iggie's Aviating AV-8A ***FINISHED***

Post by iggie »

I have just realised I'm supposed to be involved in this GB, so this will be my entry once I retrieve it from the stash and finish a couple of ongoing builds.....

I'm certainly looking forward to it, and I have now examined the scheme choices and decided upon the Spanish version for a change; that'll be the first in my collection!

I may use the Spanish markings on my 2nd GR1. I've saved the spare parts and the Fujimi Gr3 has the large aerial mast in the kit so that will get used too.

Ok, blink an' yer'll miss it!! :-D :-D
This is the chosen scheme:
Image
Cockpit done & fuselage buttoned up....
Image
Close up of rather garish belts......I have no idea if they really are blue, but they'll show up through the canopy!
Image
Wings on
Image
Intakes assembled (drop doors open for parked a/c) and pylons added
Image
Pretty much fully assembled and masked for priming in white (which may become the tp-coat for the undersides)
Image
'Arrier on a stick; get 'em while they're 'ot, they're luverly :-D
Image
Primed :-D :-D

What flavour are they? :-D

Wow that was a quick build, it's looking great.

I like your cunning plan of using primer as a top coat :ha: :ha: :ha:

Quick indeed.

Clever idea using the white primer as the main colour too. I don't think anyone has ever thought of that before ;-)
