Kit's Harrier T2
I probably need certifying for this one but here goes
Airfix NT GR1 plus the Air Conversions T2 conversion set (meant for the old Frog kit) and some Aeroclub bang seats

Interesting route to a interesting variant

Re: Kit's Harrier T2
I am SO looking forward to this! I have 3 of those old conversions (and 4 of their Hunter T7s) in the stash and really want to see how it turns out. I have built one Hunter T7 using their conversion and it was really surprisingly good in terms of fit and accuracy.

Re: Kit's Harrier T2
This will be interesting, the new Harrier kit is excellent, the fit and detail are great, so I think it should look good with the new nose.
The only issue might be, does the conversion have the same level of detail as the new kit?
I have the old Airfix T-10 kit and was thinking about grafting the nose onto the later kit, so I will watch this thread with great interest.

Re: Kit's Harrier T2
The level of detail on the conversion parts hovers right around the zero area. Cockpit and wheel well have to be cut out. No cockpit interior. Absolutely no surface detail at all, just the basic shapes with a smooth surface. Basically a blank canvas to do what you want on.

A blank canvas can be a good thing, as you will not have any raised detail to worry about loosing.Kitaholic wrote:The level of detail on the conversion parts hovers right around the zero area. Having had second thoughts about my conversion, I would need to use the new GA-9 body with the T-10 front as they are both 2nd generation Harrier's so I might as well just build the T-10 OOB

Re: Kit's Harrier T2
Looks a pretty good fit but I am thinking the nose should tilt up a little more.

Re: Kit's Harrier T2
I thought that too at first but their is a pronounced droop then upward curve of the lower fuselage just forward of the nose gear bay

That conversion set looks quite good.
Do you need any side view drawings? I have some in one of my books.
