Toby's Tamiya AV-8B-ABORTED. Parts missing
I can't find my Airfix members boxset of the first and last Harrier so I've plumped for a colonial one.

Yes according to Scalemates. It's been a couple of other renditions as well but for £8.50 inc P&P I'm not really worried as I gather it's not too bad.AndrewR wrote:So that's the Tamiya rebox of the Italeri kit?

Bummer. Opened the packet and two bits are missing. The rear wings.
I'm not going to buy another so I'll have a concerted hunt for the members club kit of the first and last Harrier and If I can't find that in time I won't be making one.

That's not good! Was it a new kit or a second hand one?
Best wishes

It was effectively new but the sealed bag had a slight tear in it and the parts had gone.iggie wrote:That's not good! Was it a new kit or a second hand one?

I have a spare pair of good quality tail planes. By comparing them to my GR5 ones they may be GR3 ones with the kinked leading edge. It may just need the kink sanded straight and perhaps a sliver of plastic card along the edge to to widen them slightly again.
If these are of any use to you I can post them to you.

Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Thanks for the offer Fred but I've found an alternative.fredk wrote:I have a spare pair of good quality tail planes. Re: Toby's Tamiya AV-8B-ABORTED. Parts missing
Does this mean you'll be starting this one then Toby?
I hope so as I do like the AV-8B.
I'd like to build a Spanish version one day.
