The model was then ready for paint starting with grey primer/underside grey.
The Dark Sea Grey and Dark Green were then applied.
The model was then varnished and the decals were applied.
All that remained to finish the model was final assembly starting with the jet pipes and ending with the refuelling probe.
Finished, BAe Harrier GR.1 XV741 as it appeared for the 1969 Daily Mail Transatlantic Air Race.

Nice paint job and the ferry wingtips, unique to those Transatlantic race Harriers, alter it subtly.
