John's RNAS Rolls Royce Armoured Car

A simple GB, convert one thing to another - any subject, any scale, any era, any method, but ending up with a different variant, than what the bits provide for in the box.
GB runs 16th April to 29th May and your host is Martin R.

  (one for each of you)

Back topside, with the next body section. I cut card stock to fit, glue it in with Tamiya thin then use round stock in the corners to reinforce and some angle stock to support other pieces to come ...

And the build continues ....

A lot of gap/seam clean-up will be needed and I'll probably spend next few days on that before I get into shaping the rest of the compartment -- probably ought to think of a plan first ....

I like the idea of using round section to support the corners, I might have to pinch that idea when I build the hanger on my HMS Southampton.

Next step, building the back half of the body. Shown is the front part to date, all rough spots sanded down, and the back "deck" added - as well as some of the parts to be fitted and shaped. I will employ some bracing to keep the rounded part round, not cut them yet.

Me thinks I must dig out the plastic card and get a shifty on with my Ford T a/c.
Are you putting a driver in your a/c John?
I'm toying with putting a peaked cap on an Airfix driver and putting him into the cab of mine. I have a white-metal soldier for the rear.

No, Fred, I'm under a lot of time pressure so this will not be a detailed build, although I might think about someone sticking out the turret top.
