PT changes the guard **FINISHED**

A simple GB, convert one thing to another - any subject, any scale, any era, any method, but ending up with a different variant, than what the bits provide for in the box.
GB runs 16th April to 29th May and your host is Martin R.

Final clue for one point - Seeking coconut based confectionary

It's not a musical subject, although music plays a part

You still seem to be hinting at Bounty so another shot in the dark, would mean a lot of work but the moustache could hint at Pat Garrett ( thinking way outside the box now, but I know what you're like ) ;-)

the model looks a bit like Trevor Howard or is it David Essex?
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Got in an hour-and-a-bit of midnight modelling, so did some shaving, sanding and Milliput-ing.

Not enamoured of the soft plastic, and the not great fit of some parts, namely the legs, arms and head. In the absence of locating pins, I put blobs of blu-tack inside the ankles and knees to provide a bit of grip whilst trying to align top and bottom of the legs, same with the arms and head. With the bad fit of face onto head, I allowed some blu-tack to act like 'Filler from the inside' as it would be tricky to sand without losing detail!.

Getting the face to fit onto the front of the head without a gap is fun...NOT! I wonder if it is to late to change this to Yul Brynner in 'Westworld' :???: The flexibility of the parts does not appear to extend to the hat, which comes in 2 parts. I've trimmed some width off the brim and shortened the 'dome' so that I can add some Milliput to the top and 'dimple' it in. Progress pics to follow
