The conv parts themselves seem to be taking up most of your time.

Exact opposite situation to my build, where the conversion parts are fine, but the kit is naff.

Nice work.

The recci bird had smaller tail planes than the gunfighter, so new ones made from old F/A-18 tails

Because the Has. seat was too wide, the side consoles were too narrow. Remedied that to fit the AeroClub seat and added a little structural detail.

A bit of a camera for Bay #1 (the bulge in front of the nose gear).

And the rest is looking very swiss cheesy at the moment, awaiting cameras and lenses.

Spent the better part of three hours getting camera port glazings in place. Sanding flush and polishing tomorrow.

Those windows look doable with Glue'n'glaze. Just did the windows on my Bristol Sycamore like that.

I suspect it would be tricky getting it to not stick to the cameras as well.

Nice work on the glass Barry.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Never tried Glue 'n Glaze, but my experience with Micro Kristal Klear was that the clear film sags, so I prefer to use clear plastic for my windows.-

It works fine on vertical windows, never had a problem. But I take your point about the sagging, as you have those horizontal windows. For what it's worth, I've found Glue'n'glaze much easier to use than Micro Krystal Klear.

Also I'm much too lazy to spend three hours on windows :-D

Certainly would be worth a try. I've never noticed it in hobby shops around here, but I'll ask around...see if i can find some.

Nice work Barry. There is something very satisfying when you go from frosted coarsely sanded to clear and highly polished clear plastic. It's a little bit of magic in the modelling processes.
