Chuck's original BUFF, converting B-52D into XB-52 *Finished

A simple GB, convert one thing to another - any subject, any scale, any era, any method, but ending up with a different variant, than what the bits provide for in the box.
GB runs 16th April to 29th May and your host is Martin R.

That is starting to look very awesome. Also with the nose you cut off a small diorama of a decapitated Davis Monthan B52 would be feasable.

All the best.

Almost done. The aluminum paint has been applied. Now, on to decals and the canopy. Due to lack of any kind of canopy framework on the vacuum formed canopy, It's will have to be represented by decals.

It must have been strange flying something that size in a tandem style cockpit.

Ladies and gentlemen, I now present the Original Buff, the first of a line of aircraft that continue to serve in it's latest version after 60 years of service and still going strong. The XB-52 that first took to the air in 1952.

This has been an impressive build to follow, Chuck and the results more than reward your perseverance...I'm sorely tempted to hunt down a Monogram B-52 and get this conversion as well...it's quite sad that there are no models of the XB-52 available when you consider the history and effects of its progeny...
Please critique my posts honestly i.e. say what you think so I can learn and improve...
