Sorry for the lack of progress with my build Fred. I've had some more hospital treatment which has sapped my energy for this last week but I'm planning to do some more this weekend whilst watching the football.

Looks like I will be a non starter for this one.

But I have a good excuse

My daughter graduated High School a couple weeks ago so I drove down to help her load her stuff into a U-haul so I can store it back here in SLC until she finds a place in Washington state. 5 hr drive down and back after 7 hours of loading the truck. Unloaded the next day with the help of a neighbor kid and guess I did a bit too much. Doc says I pulled a stomach muscle but at least the ultrasound didn't see any issues with the liver or gallbladder.

So I have been tiptoeing around the house the last couple weeks and only managing a small amount of time at the bench, all focused on the review Stuka (which finally has the underside painted).

Still will build the A-37 in Chilean markings as well as a few other small nations that fly them but will end up as a regular WIP at some point.

Oh dear, I wish you both well and speedy recoveries.

I hear that having a hobby helps during the convalescent period
You might consider plastic kit modelling.
Its not very taxing and its very absorbing.

My T-33 is progressing and, bar any further incidents with the thing, I should finish on time. The model has fought me all the way and in the last week has even tried to disassemble itself. A weekend away should revive my resolve to beat the beggar into submission although I have decided not to faff around re-scribing panels this time. It will have to go on display as is. What is worse is that the events that led to the model trying to fall about were all about the gloss black base coat for the metallic finish. I have just found something that suggests the T-33's of FAR at the time of the 'Bay of Pigs' might have been 2-tone green as per the few photos of the 'on display' aircraft! :-(

I've been a bit sidetracked what with a lightning strike knocking out a lot of my electrics including tv and broadband and a few days away involving trips to RAF Cosford and The Lincolnshire Aviation museum. Hope to be back on track soon

  I hope the rest of your house is ok, I've lost count of the number of temporary roof scaffolds I've built or designed over the years as a result of lightning strikes!
Best wishes

Yes. Just electrical stuff knocked out. Next door neighbour was sitting in her car waiting for the rain to stop and saw the lightning strike the pavement outside of my house. She has to walk past it to get to her house and if she hadn't waited in the car it could've struck her with I suspect a fatal outcome.

Getting there, although I have taken the worrying decision to order some letter decal sheets from Hannants, these are to do my G-BYJR and BDF-01 titles on the Islander. Hopefully they will get here sharpish, they won't take long to do once they arrive. Gives me time to fix the nosewheel.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Does any one need an extra day or two?
I think the boss man might be agreeable as he could do with some extra time to take the pressure off.

I could do with some extra time Fred. Life is getting in the way at the moment SWAMBO seems to think that painting the hall is more important than the models!

And I did lose a week to a small medical procedure.
