Purplethistles Belgian Thistle anniversary Viper**FINISHED**
Going to plan B with this as the Eduard Nieuport that I had planned to do has been started (and forgotten about!)
Plan B is the Italeri 1/48 F-16 in a pretty eye-catching anniversary scheme.

Yep, I would love the decals!
I have a spare set of 1/16 arms from the MiniArt Musketeer I can swap.

No problem Dai, is it the black and green Italian scheme, the Dutch Tiger tail one or both that you are interested in? I was trying to get your address from old PMs, but IIRC I used the return address on the envelope you sent with the Vampire decals. If you PM me your address again I'll get the decals off to you at the end of the week.

Re: Purplethistles Belgian Thistle anniversary Viper
Some progress Skipper, but of the two steps forward one step back variety. Mostly it's paint issues with Humbrol gunmetal and one of the grey shades. I've had to strip paint off 3 times due to patchy coverage. Finally I got the exhaust nozzle painted and stained to satisfaction only to find the next day that a glue tube leaked over it overnight. There are two nozzle options in the kit, but I'm not so familiar with F-16s that I can be sure that the other one is the right type for an F-16A. (The kit has A and C variants) I should get a bit more done tonight and will research the nozzles too.

Fuselage gets buttoned up. I've left some of the sprue tree attached to protect the tiny antennae on the wings and tail during assembly and painting.

That's looking nice. Handy tip leaving the sprue on as protection.

Looking good, and a clever idea to paint then assemble, the parts design in this kit is useful in allowing this to happen.
