Well I had to do something - it was either that or a six inch nail!ShaunW wrote:Excellent approach. If it ain't clamped it ain't glued, right?

Re: Stuart's Cold War Build Thread
You'll all no doubt be sad to hear that the canopy is in one piece and has been masked and painted along with all the other sanded back paint...

Yeah - even though it's a dog of a kit I'm really enjoying it.Dazzled wrote:Glad it went on okay Stu

Re: Stuart's Cold War Build Thread
Funny how that's sometimes the way it goes with a kit. Not good to build yet enjoyable because of the challenge .

Re: Stuart's Cold War Build Thread
I think I'm just getting back into the enjoyment of taking a build from start to finish without stopping to work on something else. This is why I'm reluctant to join in GBs.Dazzled wrote:Funny how that's sometimes the way it goes with a kit. Not good to build yet enjoyable because of the challenge .
Added another coat of the light grey today...
I think I'm ready to mask up and start on the dark - just a bit more filling to do around the canopy that looks like a good job for 'Perfect Plastic Putty'.
looking forward to getting this done, can't wait to see what it looks like with that dirty great Exocet slung under the wing.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Stuart

Looking good and your enthusiasm is getting infectious. I may have to start building something after a month of inactivity.

Re: Stuart's Cold War Build Thread
Morning Gents,
These are the rest of the builds allocated to this display (I've got an F/A-18A too) - I'll do my best but this is about a years worth of building for me
I think the Mig-27 maybe up next.
Cheers
