Mav's Cosford 2017 Builds

Post by IronMan129 »

This is my build thread for Cosford 2017.
I'm still unsure on what I'm going to be buidling but Daz tells me it will be scaled up so I don't have many options available.

Ok so I've been thinking alot about what I can do in time for Cosford and there's 1 that I'd really like to get finished for the show.
It will serve for me as a tribute to the one and only XH558.
Now I have alot of appreciation for the men and women who got her into the air and maintained her in such a beautiful condition especially her display on the Saturday of her final RIAT but I'm not going into my views on how the whole thing was run.
Anyhow as you've probably guessed I'm going to finish my Vulcan as XH558 in the scheme she was wearing in 1991 just before the end of the cold war which I believe was everything except the "spirit of great britain" and sponcor titles.
I plan on finishing her alongside building a B-47 for the Telford show.
Here is a pic I took after the last lot of work I did on her:

Nice. I've just last week watched Guy Martin and the last Vulcan flight on Youtube.
