Re: 2016 SMW Builds
By the sounds of it we'll have Europe pretty well covered! We could do with some more US/Canada and ex-soviet stuff
Stuart Templeton I may not be good but I'm slow...

Re: 2016 SMW Builds
Very true Sir T, talking of Europe though (still) do we have Italy covered? Only because I'd happily build an F-104S which is probably the only aircraft thin enough to fit on the country outline.

Akan do a whole range of acrylic paint sets for Russian/Soviet aircraft.Sir T wrote:Oh - and any recommendations for soviet paint sets? I'm thinking of the blues used on the Flankers and Browns/greens on the migs.
These can be bought from their UK importer ........ http://www.coastalcraftmodelsuk.com/akan_paints.php;
The paints are pretty good too.

Re: 2016 SMW Builds
I've sent a PM to Daz but to confirm on this thread, I have tracked down (no pun intended ) a couple of, now discontinued, Revell Leopard 2 A4s in 1/72nd scale, which my research indicates are the right model type of the tank for this period and the decal options should allow me to build a West German example and a Dutch example. All being well the kits should be with me this week, fingers firmly crossed as I'm not a huge fan of mail order and prefer to buy in person from a model shop or at shows.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Nice one Shaun. They're spot on for the period and you have sourced them from a very reliable supplier.....

Re: 2016 SMW Builds
Well that saves me a few quid Shaun as I was going to buy a couple too. I'll look at sourcing some 1/72 APC's like Warrior and Marder.
