Darryl - I've just ordered a Revell 1/72 Warrior MCV and an ICM 1/72 BM-21 Grad plus won a Trumpeter 1/700 Kirov class 'Kalinin'. Let me know if you'd like any of them built.

All of them please Tom. I reckon the Kirov class should just about squeeze into the Black Sea

I have found out about a pay-and-go type means for using Amazon, With that in mind, I have now got a pre-paid card, so I can get the Roosevelt ordered.

Re: 2016 SMW Builds
My status with the Roosevelt can now be upgraded to "has bought kit, now needs to build it".
Having had a quick look through box contents this morning it shouldn't be too onerous a build. Famous last words ... but: There's not much too it. Most of it is the planes and helicopters.
It is also a lot smaller than I was expecting.

Great news Chris. It may be small but it'll look pretty impressive when it's built. A deck full of aircraft really adds presence and, as much as I'd love to have tham, 1:350th carriers would dwarf the display.
I'll update everything on the weekend. Just finished work so it's time for TV and a small libation

Re: 2016 SMW Builds
My Revell Leopards have arrived safe and sound. Alas, the kit marking options are for German vehicles only, it would seem that only the 1/35th version of the kit provides Dutch markings in addition. Ho hum, I'll try and obtain some alternate decals or with a bit of luck be able to cobble together some Dutch markings from my decal stash.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Having seen your armour builds Shaun, I've got every confidence that the results will be stunning
Maybe you could print the decals?

That's very kind of you Daz. There are a number of photos of Leopard 2 A4s on the net so I'm reasonably sure I'll manage. Printing decals? I fear you have mistaken me for a proper modeller

What markings do they carry - could you paint them?ShaunW wrote:That's very kind of you Daz. There are a number of photos of Leopard 2 A4s on the net so I'm reasonably sure I'll manage. Printing decals? I fear you have mistaken me for a proper modeller

Re: 2016 SMW Builds
I've only had a quick preliminary scan Stuart but I don't think there are too many markings. Firstly I'll take the easy option by having a search for any decal sheets that might be out there for Dutch Leopards and failing that I'll try a combination of weathering and my decal stash as I have various number decals and what have you in there. It might also be a case of carefully painting on stuff like the yellow number plates that I've seen.Sir T wrote:What markings do they carry - could you paint them?ShaunW wrote:That's very kind of you Daz.
