I'm struggling to be honest; not the fault of the kit but that pesky real life stuff getting in the way!
Best wishes

Me, too - it has been an interesting challenge! I have around 20 ship kit sin my stash, of various vintage, and I really need to build some more of them.

Mostly bad time management on my part.
I never got further than getting the boxed kit out of storage and over to my secondary modelling desk.

I have not touched this model for some days (Italeri HMS Hood) I'm sure it is good as such kits go but it is now (to me) a mass of tiny, meaningless parts and I am afraid this will not get finished.

Please do! I am eager to see her finished.

Anyone else need a couple of days? I might be able to get mine done with a short extension.

I am of course not going to finish and will move my 3 builds, combined into 1, up in the Shop Modeling Forum.

I am simply not getting the time to do anything these days, with a week or more between posts.

I regret that I could not be a good GB member and participate more.

A big thank you to Paul for running this GB.

I have really enjoyed this GB, it's taken me totally out of my comfort zone and I have learnt more new skills building one kit, than I have in a long time. It just shows you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Sorry about my two DNF's, I underestimated how much effort is required to convert these small scale ships.

I'll echo what Alan said - this was a big learning experience for me, and, I suspect, most of us! Never having used so much PE on one kit before, I really had no concept of just how fiddly and time-consuming it is! And while I am disappointed that I, and many of you, were unable to finish within the constraints of the GB, I hope that we'll be seeing many of these models finished in dedicated threads in the near future.

My thanks to everyone for participating, and my apologies for not being a more active BG leader - I'm afraid my loss of mojo and a busy home life have aversely affected my participation.

If anyone has any last comments or updates - I will leave the GB forums open until Friday, when I'll lock threads and officially end the build.

Paul, Is there something here (in that so many have got only so far) that needs to be thought about in your moderators discussion room, for future group builds, be they ships or others - ie 2 months / 8-10 weeks as a minimum

It's been a great GB for the amount of surgery and PE involved alone! They're is no doubt that maritime subjects are time consuming in the extreme, more than I'd considered for sure!
Thanks for the lead Paul and well done to all regardless of completion or not
Best wishes

Certainly it's food for thought next time John asks all of us here at the forums for our opinions on the Group Build process.
