I didn't know Italeri had even made a ship kits, not that I was looking. Should be interesting.

The sprues shown after they were washed.

the first step was to glue the lower hull halves together, to prevent the half-joint from cracking open during the build I have reinforced them with strips of plastic card.

When that had dried I glued the upper hull in place, this has now been left to dry.

That's quick progress.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

With the hull complete it was time to get the paint brushes out to paint the deck details and the hull sides and with this now done the superstructure and other fittings can now be assembled, painting the parts as I go.

I too never knew of this kit. It looks to be coming together nicely so far.
