A classic of a kind... Revell's re-issue of the 1977 Matchbox kit.. one which my dad built and I used to play with in the bath when I were a wee lad.
Box art isn't quite as cool as the MB boxing
This is not a complex kit (fortunately, as I've not built a ship in decades)
PK-61!
As this is a waterline model and pretty basic (aside from the paint job) I may have a go at a sea base, time permitting.

The tooling still looks pretty sharp for all it's age. Looking forward to seeing this take shape!
Best wishes
Jim

Taking a break before attacking rigging on the Avro 504 K .. and this is fairly flying together..
deck & superstructure dry-fitted for now, a few small sub assemblies going on and it's progressing nicely. Fit ain't bad at all.

All Your Base Are Belong To Us!
May have the model pretty much done today. So the entire rest of the duration of this GB will be spent waiting for the oil paints on the base to dry.

Wow that was quick.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

There's not all that much detail to it, Splash. Plus, I've not had the chance to lose some really tiny funnels or snap some masts yet...splash wrote:Wow that was quick.

Nice start for sure. I have this one on the 'to build' list as well. Was toying with the idea of doing it as Manxman instead though.
