hi here's the start i made on the 1/600 airfix warspite

the hull has been filled and sanded once but needed a 2nd attempt this time with tamiya gray putty
also lots of parts with sink marks

I can feel for you with the sand and fill cycles... (on my own build for this GB I am on the 3rd now, with no significant progress in sight yet)

That's the biggest issue with these older kits, but I'm sure you have the worst of it licked, Craig! Good start.

I will enjoy watching your build as it will give me inspiration for my build.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

hi a bit more progress hull seam sanded again looks ok ,side gun enplacements fitted to the deck and some upper structures made up

hi some more progress has been made the deck was glued in place in 2 stages due the bow running out which was split and glued and filled again the stern needed the same treatment due to being short shot ive knocked off 3 of the side guns(might try to replace the lot) + a couple of other bits, i am wanting to drill out the portholes which i think will need a 0.75 or 0.8mm drill bit thats about it

Keep plugging away Craig. The old Airfix kits can be a challenge but they polish up quite nicely.

I agree with Daz they are old kits but for their age they scrub up well, your Warspite is progressing a lot faster than mine, I haven't got past the main deck yet.
