Well despite the best of intentions, I'm not going to get this finished this side of our holidays... :frown:
On top of the usual pre-holiday tasks, I have now had two clients drop drawing work on me that needs to be done before we return home, so I have had to pack a basic set of drawing kit and paper (I'm old skool me!) and dig out my slide rule for doing the calculations as the software I use will not work on anything newer than windows 98  so I have no chance of taking it with me!
I am fortunate that Mrs iggie understands that when you run your own business, sometimes it's just not feasible to say no 8-)

The good news is that we will be back before the end of the GB, and so I will get her finished then without having to declare a DNF

I will be popping in from overseas as well to keep up with everyone's progress
Best wishes

Jim
If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

hey Ig, how did you handle fitting the wingtips and maintain the surface ribbing? Thats where I stalled out on my Revell corsair.

They were a pretty good fit anyway after sanding off the sprue gates, and then I flooded the join with liquid poly and wiggled the tips about until a little molten plastic filled the joints.....no sanding needed

Right, back from holidays......and what the heck happened to the weather?

We've had two weeks of 28-34 degrees C, wall to wall sunshine in Italy :-D

Back to the bench tomorrow evening with luck and a following wind

And that's it; all done 8-)
I'm still not certain the blue is really anywhere near correct but it'll have to do now....finished it with a W&N gloss varnish as a factory fresh aircraft

Cheers folks!

It's a really nice kit to build, and the scheme certainly catches your eye in the cabinet
